Sofwave uses synchronous parallel ultrasound beams aimed at the middle layer of the dermis, where collagen is made. An integrated cooling system protects the surface during treatment.
It is often chosen for fine laxity, lines and texture, and by patients who want a shorter, more comfortable session than deep focused ultrasound.

Before
- Your previous treatments, allergies and current medication (such as aspirin or anticoagulants) are reviewed.
- Treatment areas are marked and energy settings are decided before the session begins.
During
- For ultrasound lifting, the treatment depth is checked on screen in real time.
- Numbing cream, and further comfort options where appropriate, are matched to your sensitivity.
After
- Heat and redness are calmed straight away with LDM, the Astro Dome or a modelling mask as appropriate.
- You leave with written aftercare instructions and a home-care guide for your skin.

How is Sofwave different from Ultherapy Prime?
Sofwave works at a single, shallower depth in the dermis with surface cooling, while Ultherapy Prime reaches the deeper SMAS layer. Your skin thickness and goal decide which fits.
How many pulses for a full face?
It depends on face size and the areas included. The doctor suggests a pulse count after the consultation.
Is there downtime?
Most patients have mild redness that settles the same day.
